Nestled in the heart of Amish Country, Ferngully Creek Cabins feel like they are deep in the woods, yet are only minutes from restaurants, golf courses, coffee bars, wineries, shopping, and much more. Built from Michigan white cedar logs, the cabins combine a rustic setting with the luxury that guests enjoy for a romantic and relaxing getaway.

Wanda and I stayed at Ferngully Creek in March of 2012 and we had an awesome experience. Ferngully is set in a beautiful wooded setting off Holmes County Township Road 319, right in the heart of Ohio Amish Country. Though very secluded and private, the property is only several miles from both Berlin and Millersburg, Ohio. We stayed for two nights but wish we could have spent a whole week here. We arrived the first night after dark. We loved our cabin the minute we opened the door. The ambiance, at night, created by the well-placed, subdued lighting was exceptional. We stayed in The Cherry Blossom cabin which was well-furnished, immaculate and beautifully decorated. All of the listed features and amenities were in working order and top notch. When we made our reservations we ordered one of their special packages, the Grilled Dinner for Two, which includes two steaks ready for the grill, two potatoes ready for the oven, salad fixings, home-made rolls and a jar of jelly. Dessert is also included with this package IF you request it when you make your reservation. The second night of our stay we baked the potatoes and grilled the steaks. To the right is a photo I took of the table, already set up for us, complete with place settings and a bottle of sparkling grape juice. Later in the evening we polished off the dessert; razzleberry pie a la mode. Everything was delicious. Additional options and packages are also available. Breakfast is about the only thing that is not included or available as an option. However, this was not a problem for us. Each cabin has a full kitchen so you can make your own breakfast or better yet, go out for breakfast at one of the area’s excellent restaurants. The close proximity to Berlin and Millersburg is great since there are plenty of options available for dining, shopping, and area attractions.
